Web design and development
A custom website designed around your trade and built to load fast on a phone, rank where your old site did, and keep working after launch. Designed by Mark, built by hand, no templates.

FCS Foundation Repair, Dallas TX. Designed and built by Web Design by Mark.
The problem
Why most contractor websites lose the bid.
The site is usually the first thing a customer sees and the last thing the business had time for.
It looks like every other one
Same template, same stock photos, same three icon cards. A customer who has seen four of them cannot tell you apart, so they call the one with the most reviews.
It is slow on the phone that matters
Eight out of ten of your visitors are on a phone, often on a jobsite with one bar. A site that takes six seconds to load is a site they never see.
The rebuild threw away the rankings
Somebody redesigned it, changed every URL, and the calls stopped. Design work that ignores search engines costs more than it saves.
Nobody answers when it breaks
The designer moved on, the login is lost, the contact form has been silently failing for a month. The site becomes a liability instead of an asset.
How it works
Five steps, in this order, every time.
You approve the design before the build starts, and nothing goes live until you have seen it on your own phone.
Listen
What jobs you want more of, which towns, what a good customer looks like, and what has gone wrong with websites before. This is where the design comes from.
Design
Mark designs the homepage and one service page first, on a working staging site you can open on your phone. You approve those before anything else gets built.
Build
Custom WordPress on Kadence, page by page. Every heading, every button, every form is native and editable. No page builder bloat, no plugins you do not need.
Launch
Every old URL redirects to its replacement, titles and descriptions carry over, and Google is told the site moved. Rankings survive the cutover instead of restarting from zero.
Keep running
The SyncShepherd team hosts it, backs it up nightly, patches it within 48 hours of a release, and makes changes when you need them. See the care plans.
The part most redesigns get wrong
A redesign should not cost you the rankings the old site earned.
A typical redesign
New URLs for every page, old ones left to 404
Titles and descriptions rewritten from scratch
Built on a live site, so customers see it half done
Contact form swapped, lead tracking breaks
Handed over at launch, then the designer is gone
How we do it
Every URL kept, or mapped one to one with a permanent redirect
Ranking titles and descriptions carried over word for word
Built on a private staging site; live site untouched until cutover
Your existing form and tracking kept exactly as they are
Same team on the site the day after launch, and every week after
What you get
What you get.
Custom design
Drawn around your trade and your towns. Real photos of your crew and your work when you have them, real screenshots of your results when you do not.
Fast on a phone
Built and measured on a slow connection. Images sized for the screen that loads them, nothing loading that the page does not use.
Search-ready from day one
Titles, descriptions, and schema on every page, a clean sitemap, and Google Business Profile linked. Marketing at SyncShepherd builds on it.
Forms that reach you
Every form tested to your inbox before launch and monitored after. A form that silently fails is the most expensive bug a contractor site can have.
Accessible and editable
Readable contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text. And every page editable by you in the WordPress editor without breaking anything.
Yours
Your domain, your hosting account, your logins. If you ever leave, you take the whole site with you.
