Where it started
A site that was already ranking, and could not afford to lose it.
FCS had seventy pages on WordPress and real rankings in Dallas. The owners wanted a modern site, and they wanted every URL, title, and keyword that was working to keep working. That is the hardest kind of project: the design has to change while the search engines see nothing move.
Before launch we audited the new build across sixteen areas. It turned up review quotes that could not be traced to real reviews and forty-nine pages with no meta description. All of it was fixed before the site went live.
What went into it
The work, item by item.
A staging copy, hidden from search engines and password protected, while the live site stayed untouched for six weeks.
Every blog post checked against search data and either kept, rewritten, or redirected. Nothing was left to 404.
City pages planned from the numbers: the ones that ranked were protected, the weak ones rebuilt, and a new Fort Worth page added. Twenty-seven location pages in all, cross-linked, each with its own phone routing and Google map.
Real reviews only. Every quote on the site now comes from the company’s verified review pool.
Titles and descriptions carried over word for word from the live pages, then trimmed where Google was cutting them off.
Three case studies with their own hub, and a lead-tracking dashboard for the office that runs alongside the site.
A seventeen-step launch runbook, a security pass on the server after launch, and redirects covering sixty-seven old links.
Faster images, a preloaded hero, and cache tuning. Eighty-seven leftover drafts cleared out once the new site had settled.
The result
Rankings held, then improved.
Two weeks after launch, 101 of 105 pages in the sitemap were indexed. The four exceptions are legal pages we keep out of search on purpose.
Impressions per day rose about eight percent against the month before, and the main Dallas term moved up more than a full position.
Organic visitors are converting more than twice as often as before, with consultation clicks up more than threefold.
The Dallas search for foundation repair shows FCS fifth in the organic results and second in the map pack.
Mobile page speed on the homepage went from 64 to 88.
Runs on: Custom Kadence build, SEOPress, structured data, lead forms straight into the CRM, LiteSpeed caching, scheduled backups.
